Homonym

A homonym is a word that has several, different meanings. Examples of homonyms are:

right (direction) – right (proper)
poor (no money) – poor (seedy)
window (in a building) – window (on a computer screen)
no (opposite of yes) – no (short for "number")

Furthermore words of the same pronunciation are termed as homonyms, like:

ant – aunt
heal – heel
nock – knock
